Midwiving a new worldview

As an old civilisation collapses, and a phoenix rises from the ashes, EastWest Interconnect community and webpage provide a gateway for the emergence of new ideas, practices and structures.

Each month, we invite contributors working in different areas, disciplines, contexts to share their views and help develop new ways of thinking, acting and being. We are seeking to incubate, innovate, create, and invite articles that are prepared either to reflect upon current institutions and practices at fundamental levels, or offer radical ideas in the evolution of consciousness. These may be poetic, scientific, reflective.

Until now, global connections have been made through processes of imperialism and latterly consumer capitalism. EastWest Interconnect honours the subtle vibrations of true connection based on wisdom and compassion. Our worldwide community will provide articles and reflections to engage in this necessary dialogue. You are invited to contribute as part of this forum. As men and women working together, weaving different relationships, cutting through the old structures, we can build a  deepening foundation of reflection to open up a gateway to a new worldview.

A worldview is not just an abstract idea: it reaches inward to the deepest recesses of the soul, and outward to the farthest extremes of the cosmos. It affects us at every level: somatic, intellectual, environmentally, socially, spiritually. The  patterns of our knowing, sensing, beliefs, myths are flung into chaos as the old dies and the new emerges. The scale of change has not been witnessed since the Copernican Revolution. And the seeds of the new reside in the wounds of the past, so it is to there we journey to begin the growth.

This webpage, and our community are engaged in the evolution of what we are calling 'holonomic inquiry' – of finding pathways and gateways for the unfolding of a new worldview that is holistic and caring, reconnecting spirit with health and livelihood.  Our interest is in healing and weaving deeper relationships that arise in our field of inquiry. That means we listen deeply and carefully to the calls of the world, of the cosmos, of our ancestors, of our friends, lovers and families, and to our own bodies.These exist in an interpenetrating, intangible field of connection. By deepening into this, we open to the mysteries of the universe, and flow with the unstoppable energies which are now arising. East West Interconnect offers a collective crucible for this transformation so that we can find different ways of articulating and resonating with the new.
